Casa da Ribeira de Cima ligt in het gehucht Terreiros, vlakbij het stadje Cabeceiras de Basto, op 100 km van Porto in Noord-Portugal.

Hoe kan je ons bereiken?
- met de auto
Vanuit België is het zo’n 1800 km. Een heel eind, maar onderweg zijn er mogelijkheden genoeg om de rit even te onderbreken: de Landes, de Pyreneeën, de Picos de Europa … voor de natuurliefhebbers of Orleans, Bordeaux, Bilbao, Burgos … voor de stadsmens.
Eenmaal in Cabeceiras de Basto, rij richting Vieira do Minho op de N205. Na enkele kilometers linksaf richting Painzela. Aan de T-splitsing naar rechts. Je passeert het kerkje van Painzela op de linkerkant. Blijf de hoofdbaan volgen en passeer het dorp van Terreiros. Aan de laatste huisjes van Terreiros, als de weg stopt met stijgen, staat op de linkerkant een pijl “Casa da Ribeira de Cima”. Sla af op dit onverhard weggetje. Neem na een paar honderd meter het eerste onverharde baantje rechtsaf naar beneden, aan de pijl. Voor wie het tiny house boekte, parkeert de auto hier.
Voor ons huis met de gastenkamer rij je rustig verder omhoog en parkeer je boven.
- met het vliegtuig/openbaar vervoer
De dichtste internationale luchthaven is Porto. Onder andere Brussels Airlines, TAP en Ryanair vliegen rechtstreeks tussen Brussel en Porto. Er zijn ook talrijke autoverhuurbedrijven actief in de luchthaven.
Vanop de luchthaven van Porto rijden er shuttlebussen rechtstreeks naar de busstations van Braga en Guimarães. Meer info op www.getbus.eu
De bus die vanuit Porto (Pólo Universitário) naar Cabeceiras de Basto gaat, houdt ook halt in het busstation van Guimarães.
Vanuit Porto (Pólo Universitário, tevens een metrostation) rijden er bussen naar Cabeceiras de Basto (via Guimarães busstation). Meer info op www.avemobilidade.pt bij “schedules”. Het busnummer is 9105.
Er zijn ook treinen van Porto naar Guimarães. Meer info op www.cp.pt
Vanuit Braga gaan er ook drie bussen per dag naar Cabeceiras de Basto. Meer info op www.avemobilidade.pt bij “schedules”. Het busnummer is 9102. Je kan eventueel vroeger afstappen (de halte bij São Nicolau aan Vila Laura, vraag aan de chauffeur) en de laatste 2 km te voet tot bij ons stappen.
Vanaf het busstation in Cabeceiras de Basto is het een korte taxirit van 4 km tot bij ons. Taxi’s staan meestal klaar aan het busstation of vraag ernaar aan het loket. Uiteraard kan je ook tot bij ons wandelen.

HOW TO REACH US?
- by car
Once you’re in Cabeceiras de Basto, take the N205 to Vieira do Minho. After a couple of kilometres, take a left turn to Painzela. If you come across a T-junction, turn right. Pass the church of Painzela on the lefthand side and follow this road till you reach the village of Terreiros. When you reach the last houses of Terreiros where the road stops climbing, you’ll see on the left a signpost “Casa da Ribeira de Cima”. Turn left here, it’s an unpaved road. After a few hundred metres you’ll come across another signpost on the right. Take this unpaved road and park your car at the bottom if you booked the tiny house.
Our access road then climbs all the way up to our house and guest room. Drive slowly and park your car in the designated spot if you booked our guest room.
- by plane / public transport
The nearest airport is in Porto, Sá Carneiro. You can easily rent a car here.
At the airport you can take the shuttle bus to the bus station of Braga and Guimarães www.getbus.eu
The bus from Porto (Pólo Universitário) to Cabeceiras de Basto has also a stop in the bus station of Guimarães.
From Porto (Pólo Universitário, also a metro stop) you can take a bus to Cabeceiras de Basto. Go to www.avemobilidade.pt and click on “schedules”. The bus number is 9105.
It is also possible to take a train to Guimarães. More info at www.cp.pt
From Braga bus station there are three buses a day to Cabeceiras de Basto. Go to www.avemobilidade.pt and click on “schedules”. The bus number is 9102. You don’t need to go all the way to Cabeceiras, get off at São Nicolau/Vila Laura (ask the driver) and walk the last 2 km to our place.
From the bus station of Cabeceiras de Basto to our place is a 4 km hike or ask around for a taxi.
